GOOD DAY ALL,

I JUST PURCHASED A 45-70 BIG LOOP LEVER ACTION, THE TRIGGER IS VERY LOOSE. NOW I HAVE LITTLE EXPERIENCE WITH THESE WEAPONS. BUT FROM WHAT I HAVE FOUND OUT IS THEY ARE ALL LIKE THIS SENCE REMINGTON BOUGHT THEM OUT. I AM IN THE CANADIAN MILITARY AND ONLY DEAL WITH C7A1 (M16) C8, C9 AND 9MM BROWNING.

I AM VERY NEW WITH LEVER ACTIONS AND HUNTING RIFLES IN GENERAL.

ANY INFO ON HOW TO FIX THIS WOULD BE GREAT.

THANKS BROTHERS

TOM

What do you mean by loose? Does it wiggle front to back? Does it still do it when the hammer is cocked?

It is time the military replaced them old Brownings, I shot them in the 80's and they were old then... The MP's got SIG's why are the meat heads better than the rest of the troops?

Oh, and Tom, when you type everything in capitals on the internet it means you are yelling...

That's the trademark Marlin flop. Every 336 or 1895 does this. The Wild West trigger will take care of it and give you a much nicer pull.

Yea, what dahs said. The triggers have been like that a long time before Remington took them over

thanks guys, to answer Troutseeker, it moves front to back and a little movement from side to side when cocked and uncocked.

From what i have read and your guys info it is just how they are.

thanks a million
