Other than cutting out to accomodate the clip, I wonder if you'll have to fill where the mag-tube usually lies. My Marlin70's action seems the same as a '60 otherwise...

I couldn't find out anything definite about what was involved using a marlin 60 stock for a marlin795,so I ordered one from Boyds anyway-$54 for a laminated thumbhole stock was a good deal.
It sounds like the only issue will be inletting for the box magazine and plugging the front hole for the tube magazine.They said they are thinking about making a MARLIN stock that is inletted for the tube magazine but with a solid tip so it can be used for the #795 or be can be cut off for the #60
