Hey guys this is my first post of many.
I thank you in advance for the welcoming.

Little about myself, im almost 18 (October 25) getting my PAL license Oct 2nd, I LOVE GUNS...and women :D and im currently studying highschool tryign to get into UofT.

My question is I really want the Marlin 60dlx as my first gun ever. I called bass pro shops but thye said theyre out and its going to take min 12 weeks to get it which is way too long.

If there any other shop in Canada that sells them? Has to be the 50th Anniversery deluxe version.

PS: How long does it take after I finish my test to get my PAL mailed in?

Sorry can't help you with your question re: Marlin 60dlx, but I can understand your desire for it. I have two regular Marlin 60s and they shoot great.

For my friend in Calgary, it took about a month to receive his PAL after he submitted his application.

Yea I see one month isnt bad. ( I figured around 2)

There is the regular Model 60 but I want the dlx because its unique and I want a unique gun for my first ever. And its cheap.
 
Welcome to CGN, good luck with your first rifle, even if you have to wait longer than you hoped for! I just picked up a Marlin 60SB yesterday, after a few years of contemplating which version to get. Good luck!

Where did you pick it up from and how much?

I have a feeling bass pro wont be able to get me the 50th ann edition so I guess the stainless is the next best thing.

There is a Marlin 60 (dedicated to the 60) sub-forum under the Marlin forum.
They may have a thread that mentioned a source of nice stocks for the 60, or is it the 981T. Anyways, that Marlin 60 sub-forum has kept me awake many nights.

I have another questions im 18 on october 25th Im going to do the PAL test tomorrow. Now should I mail in the application form and everything now? Or shoudl I wait untill im 18to mail it in?
