I have a Marlin 7000 and am wondering if I can safely shoot hyper velocity ammo with it, Marlin says to only shoot high velocity ammo?? I have read of other people shooting hyper velocity ammo with Marlin semi-autos and am not sure if they just say this for liability reasons or if there is a real reason why I cant.

Depends. I think 'Stingers' are considered hyper-velocity, but they have a longer case that may not fit in your chamber. Not sure if the 7000 comes with a 'Bentz' or 'semi-match' chamber. If it does, chances are that the stingers won't fit properly.
If it's a regular length 'hyper velocity' cartridge, fill your boots. There shouldn't be any danger or harm done to the rifle. As long as it's .22LR cartridge, you should have no problem.
Usually, they get 'hyper velocity' by making the bullet weigh less (ie: 30grain instead of 40+).

CCI mini mags are only high velocity ammo. I have a brick of federal hyper velocity and remington yellow jackets and just wanted to know if I could shoot them in this gun. I thought I read somewhere that the aluminum reciever was not strong enough to handle the pressure of hyper velocity ammo, maybe that was just for Stingers.
If I'm right... Stingers and other similar Hyper velocity .22lr ammo should not be used in most semi-auto rimfire rifles, for the reason that the bolt is driven backward faster than the factory set return spring can handle. This does no damage to the spring, but over a period of time would eat away at the bolt buffer.
