so-who owns a Marlin 7000,what do you like-or not like.I am considering getting another 22[have no idea why] but will be looking for a ''stock''22-not tricking it out. What about complaints over the trigger-are they that bad,and are they fixeable?

I've had one for about a month now. Minute of gopher out of the box. Mine likes American Eagle and CCI Blazer ammo the best. The trigger isn't that bad. If I was braver, I'd probably polish it up. I've heard that after 1000 or so rounds, it smoothes up.

It's not the prettiest .22 out there, but it works well enough for me. And you can't beat the price.

I have one too (2 weeks old)!

I fitted a Bushnell 3-9x32 .22 Rimfire scope on it. As for performance, at 50 yards, the holes are touching for a 5-shot group. Though it has a heavy match barrel, the rifle is still very light (a tiny bit more than my Cooey #39) and handles well. I like the trigger.

Ammo I've tried:
American Eagle : Good
Winchester Super-X HP: Good
Federal Champion HP: Average
CCI CB Long: Great for sound suppression, accurate but requires sight compensation and manual cycle required.
Remington Cyclone: Crap-tacular. My Cooey didn't like it and my Marlin doesn't either.

Very happy with it so far and my only minor complaint would be the cleaning procedure (as with most semi-autos out there). You can't pass a bore brush without having to disassemble the rifle (though you can pass a cleaning patch without disassembling).

Highly recommended!

I've had one for a couple of months, and I really like it. The trigger is not good, that's true, but overall the rifle is great, especially considering the price.

The 795 is basically the same gun without the heavy barrel. If you like walking with your gun, take “opportunistic shots” and aren’t shooting from a bench, I would recommend the 795. Can’t really complain about the trigger too much but I also don’t seriously target shoot with it. My 795 is pretty much just for having fun with gophers.
