Anybody have one of those Marlin papoose take down rifles? If so, how are they? First off, do they jam much? Second, accurate? Finally, what's build quality like? I like Marlins as I've experienced them so far.
I have had one for a couple weeks guys .. good quality, easy to strip and clean. Trying various types of ammo from high velocity to sub sonic .. so far no issues. I really like it. Just put a little Simmons 4X mini mag scope on it. Haven't sighted it in yet, but i expect that it is accurate for what it is. If you need something really accurate, get a CZ or Annie. If you want a take down rifle that is built well and tons of fun .. get the Papoose.
the receiver is made of aluminum. Some have issues with mounting a scope, stating that it slides back on the grooves of the dovetail. No problems this weekend, but only got 150 rds through it. Again ... a decent little gun for what it was designed for. I read alot on rimfire central before I bought it. Nothing but good comments overall.
