Marlin 717 17Mach2 ???????????

marlin 717 .17hm2

hello all, my first post here. I picked up a 717 at:) Le Barons about three months back and have around 250 rounds thru it at this point. Absolutely one of the best values in a new gun I've ever owned. Groups less than 1 1/4 inches at 100m. Decent looks (the new laminated stock is a huge improvement over the older hardwood ones), good handling, all around a very pleasant gun to shoot...my new "go to" starling rifle! Currently wearing a cheapo 3-9 AO Bushnell scope, but deserves and will eventually get better glass. HOWEVER...the trigger sucks, so heavy that you can pick up the cocked rifle by the trigger without tripping it. I've read a few threads on other forums regarding DIY fixes and this is now my no.1 priority. Aside from this one problem (and how many new guns these days don't share it?) I would recommend this little gun 100%.:)

Tnanks for the tip. Who/what/where are Lock Stock and Barrel? Bear in mind that the 717 is the semiauto repeater. Are you talking about a replacement trigger for the bolt (917) or the semi (717)?
