any body have one of these .how are thy for jamming and cleaning any reportwould be good trying to find a good auto loader in ether 17m2 0r 19 hmr or 22mag trying to find value with perfourmence in an auto loader can be tough with out spending large any thoughs on whjich gun oto look at DUTCH

I too would like to hear what people think. Would have bought one already but im worried the mach 2 round might be discontinued.

i wouldn't worry about it being discontinued, the more people who buy and demand it will ensure it's survival. I have never had so much fun as with my savage .17m2-with a round this powerful i like my bolt action-always 1 shot 1 kill!

Found this thread through a CGN search, wondering who might have one of these rifles...what they think of it, etc. Might try to track one down in the near future, so if you have one you're not using..PM me.

Thanks!

What's with the lack of punctuation these days? This is about the third or fourth post I've read this week where the poster completely omits the punctuation. Based on the username I'll assume you are actually Dutch and don't speak English very well, and based on that I won't rib you on the horrible spelling and grammar.

Had one for a couple of years, but haven't used it much since I rebarreled a Ruger into a 10/17. Anyhoo, they're a great little rifle, very handy, very accurate and they were fairly inexpensive too. Function had been perfect, although it did need some trigger work to get rid of some of the grit/creep.

Highly recommended if you can find one.

Hmmm, I did type that in the past tense alright. Anyhoo, still have it hanging on the wall, and now that we're talking about it, maybe some HM2 shooting will be in order today. :)

Looks like the OP aksed this a long time ago, but I'll answer anyway.

I have a Marlin 17hm2. It's awesome. I'm more accurate with it than my NEF in 17hmr. It's too bad this cartridge isn't more popular. Sometimes I've had to check multiple stores to find it in stock.

If you check the trajectory chart, you won't notice a big difference between it and the hmr until ~175-200 yards. And... despite it's non-popularity, it costs roughly 1/2 as much as hmr.

Thanks for the responses guys. I've been curious about this little .17, and am really enjoying my 795, might be interested in buying one to try out. If you have one, drop me a line.
