Bass Pro lists in US bucks on their website and WILL NOT ship a firearm, ammunition or even loading components - no bullets, no brass.

All their stuff is shipped from the US and there are tons of export restrictions.

So if you want something other than clothing or fishing lures (although they will ship presses and loading dies as an example), you have to go to the store and pay the converted Canadian buck rate.

When in doubt just open one of the customer service chat windows on their website and they can give you the NO in real time, saving you the time in posting up on a site like this and waiting for a response :)

And even when it is free shipping, and your purchase is "allowed", you still pay the brokerage fee and taxes.

Here's a piece from their FAQ section (so they won't even ship in the US anymore - just noticed there is no "add to cart" button on their firearms)

Do you sell firearms?

Our catalog and online divisions do not sell modern firearms, only blackpowder and air/BB guns.
Please contact our retail stores directly for stock availability and pricing on modern firearms by clicking here.

  • All retail purchases of firearms are required to be completed by a dealer who holds a federal firearms license, and the completion of the B.A.T.F.E. Form 4473 and a background check, are required.
  • The transfer may also require additional forms to be completed and a waiting period depending on the laws of the state, county, or city where the transfer is to take place. (In Canada, please contact your local retail store for regulations and details.)

That price is probably the Canadian dollar price. Saw them here at Bass Pro a little while ago for $149. and so were the Model 60s. I paid $179. for my Laminated stock Model 60 a month ago. The Composites Model 60s were $149.

I picked up a 795 synthetic stock at Bass Pro in Calgary within the past couple of months for $149. Got the impression that was the regular price.

They're buying them in such bulk south of the border they can push them to us for fairly cheap and still make a margin on them.

It's all part of my 10/22 retirement plan. A Marlin Papoose and a 795 means my 10/22 can retire to the pit of Hades where it belongs.

I agree. Don't miss my 1022s now that have the Marlins. More accurate for 1/2 the price. grelmar. Where are these gophers? Seen a couple on the Milo range a few weeks ago.
