Marlin 795 Rear Takedown screw

Hi, I am looking to put my Marlin 795 into the ATI stock w*w*w.atioutdoors.com/fiberforce-marlin-stock. The stock is not a clean fit for the 795 and I am using the Dremel to carve out a suitable space.

What I need to do is to replace the Rear Takedown screw and replace it with a longer one, to fit the ATI stock. (Regular screw : w*w*w.midwayusa.com/product/1004984910
Does anyone know the precise specs of this screw and / or has done this modification ?

If you can't find a screw, could you counter sink the hole so the screw goes deeper before the head catches the stock?

Absent a suitable part, could give it a go. The ATI stock already needs more work to fit the 795 in any event.

Any particular reason you're doing this? I thought the 795 stock is pretty decent for a cheap factory stock...

You could go to a bolt and nut place and try some different nuts till you find one that fits, they could probably tell you about it then.

Just for fun. I like modding.

Will probably have to take it to a suitable hardware store and go with a bit of trial & error.
