What ever u use don't use much. Just a very thin film is all u need. I use synthetic motor oil. Too much and it holds all the crap from firing the rifle and then that turns to a paste and you start to get failure to feed,etc. A very under rated firearm this rifle is. Which is good cause I only paid 149.00 as I was thinking of just using it for spare parts for my marlin papoose. Hical getting some extended mags in if that is your thing. Later
