Marlin 989 M2 at the range

Hi,
Below are my best 3 groups from yesterday. I was shooting CCI SV at 50 yards, from a bench, with a supporting bag. 4x Bushnell scope.

Gotta keep at it! I want all my groups to look more like the last one.

Excellent . I find mine is a very true shooter too .
I always keep my eyes open for its partner , the tube fed version .

Good groups! Have you done anything to improve the trigger or is it not too bad. My Marlin model 70 has a very heavy trigger pull.

Compared to my SKS, this is a light trigger.

Seriously though, I polished the hammer washer and pivot points, and pivot points on the sear. And the grittiness went away with a thorough cleaning of the trigger assembly. There's some take up, but the trigger break is pretty clean.
