I have plenty of levers with and without a button safety,it doesn't bother me at all ,I do like it for an added safety when de-cocking /unloading,I'm always carefull but you can never be too carefull .my model 94 has a nice grippy hammer and I've never had an issue,but I've seen well worn rifles that carefull gun owners have had go off while letting the hammer down and had a slip.
It's a good thing having a button safety ,maybe not on a rifle used in grizzly country where your rifle is your lifeline and you forget to swith off the button in the heat of the moment ,and a charging grizz just hears your hammer drop and nothing else .lol
