Marlin Dark Series Review

Love my 45-70, and put a Primary Arms 3x Prism on it. I've got a Maple Ridge brake sitting here, but, honestly, I'm not sure it needs it, and I really don't want to add the extra length to it...it's pretty much perfect as it is.

Sure as heck didn't pay $1500 for it either :)

I really hope Ruger can get the 1895 back into production soon, and with the same quality of wood that shows up on their #1s. I've passed over far too many recent 1895s that had furniture just barely a notch above 'beaver barf'. I guess Marlin recognized this too, and broke out the black paint... :)

My 1895 is rusted missing screws and was stored for over 50 years and it shot better and smoother then the dark did... keep in mind this is not a real marlin it’s a trash Remington made by trash Americans who don’t care about anything but money for there failing company

Shows us where the bad remlin touched you lol!

Right on the brown bullseye!!! I hate being ripped off don’t you?? the dark 650.00 dollar rifle max there just made crappy don’t kid yourself because it has 30 dollar rail and some black spray paint

Ruger will be making Marlins ... I have heard that it is unknown if the dark series continues (internet gossip only) .... perhaps Ruger can fix the quality control reputation (I’m not sure how bad it was and how much was only the internet ... Remlens are the Astra Zeneca of the gun world ... much hesitancy lol).

Looking forward to seeing what Ruger might do different.
