Marlin Expert

Hi All, can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction? I just acquired a Marlin 1893 rifle.

It appears to be all original and in in 30-30

It was made in 1902

I am trying to find out the value of it..............

Please help if you can. thanks

Hello

Far from an expert ,just a collector

I have a 1893 Marlin apparently made on 1902 ? Are you sure of your date of manufacture?

All Marlin records were destroyed ,My rifle serial number 410436 my information has it in the area of 1902 -1911

I did an extensive search and that's what my results show

If you have valid information on when your rifle was made I will be happy if you can share it with me. As far as value ? condition is everything But surprisingly it wont be worth much more than 7-800.00 bucks

thanks

Ken

Looks like a decent Marlin, unsanded wood(or looks to be) half-round barrel(special order). Is the barrel 26 inches long? That is standard length for a rifle. What is the serial number? I would be surprised to find one stamped 30/30 as early as 1902. Value is pretty close to what freebore said in my opinion. Good guns, a much better design mechanically than the 1894 Winchester but the Winchesters enjoy more collector interest and that drives prices.
