Marlin Express 308 (Newbe Hunter)

Looks like I may get a Browning... don't like their stainless version tho. the barrel dosn't match the reciever... I know that really dosn't make a diffrence but I like having "nice guns"...
May go with the Reminton pump rifle chambered in 308... like the sinthetic stock version. Hmmmm the choices... I'm pretty sure I'm going with the 308... seems to be a well rounded cartrage.

I bought a Savage 1899c 308 as a backup to my 30-06 cuz I like levers but hard to get in a real 308. Seems it is no longer my backup gun and is an excellent deer/bear gun. Either that or the Winnie model 88. And they are nice to look at too. Might just get another Savage-they are fun to shoot and quite accurate. Theres usually at least one 99 on the ee somewhere.

The 308 express is IMO a round that will only be with us a short while.
