Marlin Guide gun ''bullseye''

Now that I see it, I remember seeing it! I never knew it was called the Marlin Bullseye or gave it much thought. Is it just a cosmetic thing?

Not sure how or why it started. I believe it's there to seperate there guns from all the other guns. When the guns are lined up for sale in the gun shop it will stare right out at you. Might be other reasons as well but it has become their trademark of sorts. They have been doing it for a long time.
