marlin guide gun issues

So, an update on the guide gun situation. I sent it in to the gravel agency, and heard back from them today that marlin will replace the firearm. I am very grateful and impressed with marlin/gravel agency, and, pending receipt of my new gun, happy with the timeliness of the response. Good job gravel/marlin.

It's pretty bad that a new gun will require replacement of the entire rifle. I had that with a Rossi, and it took a whole year to get a refund...

Purchased two xlrs a couple years back, both guns would not load properly. Come to find out parts and the recievers were improperly machined. Both guns were replaced and the replacement guns were great guns fitnfinish great and great shooters. Gravel Agency were awesome to deal with on warranty issues

How were you able to tell that the front sight was canted? I bought a GBL last year, and something seems off when I look down the sights. I think the front sight may be canted ever so slightly. It doesn't look canted, when I look at, but again when I sight down the barrel something is off. Is there some way to establish whether it is canted or not?

I could see it wasnt in alignment with the rail that it came with; it was quite obviously not plum when the rifle was level. I had thought that I was imagining it, until I got serious about shooting past about 50yrds and there was not enough adjustment in the rear sight to allow a 100yd sight in... thats when it clicked. Ah. Im not imagining the front sight leaning over...
