Oh ok, yes I did that also. Much smoother. I'm sure it would have got there with a few years of use but I'm not one for waiting things out lol.

I sure hope a few years of use wont remove that much metal from the hammer lol, if so mine wont be working right after a few years lol. I think smoothing out the locking lug made the biggest improvments, lock up is soooo much smoother now, and it was really smooth to start out with

Do you have any details about how you did the locking lug?
 
i just used fine sand paper on a glass sheet and polished all the surfaces of the lug. also put a slight chamfer on the leading edge of the lug where it first makes contact with the bolt.
 
Make sure it function well. I bought one filled the tube, started ejecting them and the thing jammed up tight. I returned it for a short Winchester defender.
