Marlin Hammer Extension

Just got my marlin hammer extension in the mail. Just wondering do i use both little threaded screws that came with it or is one for a spare?

Which way did you point it?

I am right handed and I point mine facing left so I can thumb the hammer down as I am going for my grip I don't have to change my grip this way and I find it way faster.
