Does anyone know the history of this rifle in terms of the stock configuration. Ive noticed that some stocks have the white spacers at the butt and bottom of grip. Is this indicative of early production models?

Im on the lookout for one of these with the white spacers, but would like to know some of the manufacturing history. If you have a link for any information, that would be perfect as well. Thanks for any help.

From the Brophy book, they all had the white line spacers. There were three different variations, round back receiver, square back receiver with slightly different stock front and then another and final one with the square backed receiver and another stock change to the front where it angles back at the tip.

My 2 Marlin Levermatics. Top is a 57M in 22 magnum, bottom is a 56 in 22lr. Both have almost perfect metal and the stocks just have a couple dings each. I Want to scope them both to see how accurately I can shoot them!!
