I enjoy the fact that Marlins can be easily stripped down to clean from the chamber end.
I also like a gun that can be taken apart in "the field" without any tools.
I purchased this screw online, with a large knurled head with a giant slot for coins. Got it off a guy directly named AC who sells off Grizzly parts, but they don't ship to Canada so I found him personally and sent him an e-mail and he was more than happy to ship it to me direct.
Pretty simple...finger tighten only will not be sufficient and you can loosen again with just your fingers. But if you turn the slot with a coin another 1/8 or even less of a turn, it locks it into place tight.
No more screwdriver to field strip the Marlin
