Marlin lever dark series

Comments made in May 2021 by Ruger President and CEO Christopher Killoy indicated that centerfire lever-action rifles will be the first to come out of the factory later this year, so it’s just a matter of which Marlin models Ruger decides to keep in production.
Given that the dark series models were so popular and have the newest manufacturing equipment to build them, it’s a good indication to keep the hope alive. Killoy had previously indicated that there were problems with some of Marlin’s equipment needing extensive repair and maintenance in order to make serviceable.

Likely won't see any new models on the shelf until the end of this year. With Marlin being sold off to Ruger they have been transitioning their manufacturing equipment to the new facility this year.

I'm excited to see what the new Ruger-Marlin comes up with.

Can some explain the concept of wood painted black? It seems like the worst of both worlds.

Just for the tacticool look. Wood seemed to be a hardwood like maple but it was very plain. Since my wood to metal fit was proud fron the factory I thinned my stock down to match the metal and took a good deal off the forearm peice to thin it up then finished it in OD green w black webbing. I like the look

I prefer the wood over synthetic for the additional weight.
