I think a mag extension in addition to the scout scope would make for some very muzzle heavy handling characteristics.

Wild West Guns makes the mount.

Here is a pic of my rifle with the same light mount (top one) I have Warne 2 piece bases that I mount with Leupold Quci Release rings a 2-7X Leupold scope and when the scope is off I mount an XS Sights low Weaver ghost ring rear sight I removed the stock rear sight and put it onto the Puma M92 454 Casull (middle rifle).

I had a fellow from the Mission gun club do an action job, the stocks came directly from Marlin, recoil pad is a Kick-Eez Magnum, WWG's Bear Proof extractor and I painted the front sight with a hot pink paint stands out better than any other color I have tried.

I would like a fiber optic front sight and a full length mag tube.

how do you post those things ive always wanted to try too

When you are making a post you will see "Smiles" to the right, click on "more" at the bottom and chose whichever one you want. You copy the words and colons, etc. beside the little icons. The need more pics one is needPics but with a colon on either side.

...I removed the stock rear sight and put it onto the Puma M92 454 Casull...

I was looking at the one I took off my 1894 and figured that with a little judicious filing I could make an express sight (shallow "V") out of it; maybe add a white line or white triangle as well.

I also bought the Bright Sights kit from Brownell's and those paints really do stand out. (No pink; I'd have to mix a little white and red.) The other thing I've tried is cutting a very thin sliver of Scotchlite reflective film. Tricky to do but it really catches the light.

I had a fellow from the Mission gun club do an action job
Peter Riedel aka Rustywood.ca? I've never met him, although he lives almost around the corner from me. I've heard very good things about him.

-Extended Tube Magazine that holds 6 + 1.
-Action slicked and tuned (no worrying about the "Marlin Jam").
-Nickel-plated Wild West Guns "Bear-proof" Ejector.
-It is the ported model that helps with muzzle jump when you fire heavy loads.
-Slimmed butt/forestock wood for better fit in saddle scabbard, with nice oil finish.
-Limbsaver recoil pad.
-Hammer Spur

The biggest and most important mod is to disable the stupid cross bolt safety....if you are going to actually use the rifle for defensive purposes. I think I realized that after owning the gun for about 10 minutes. I put a rubber O ring on mine and it is still there.

I put on the Bear Proof ejector from Wild West. I have been to the guys store in Anchorage, he is an a**hole.

Absolutely, on both counts. The cross bolt safety went very soon after aquisition. Dealt extensively with WWG as their original Canadian distributor and I would have to echo that opinion. I believe it was once said, "I don't want to deal with every f*cking a**hole in Canada..." and that was before the ATF imposed their rule of tyranny.

Nestor,

That's my rifle! :) It's a pretty easy conversion to do, if you are mechanically inclined. If not, you can always send away to a gunsmith to cut the dovetail and drill the plug holes in the tube mag.

It makes for a better looking rifle in my opinion. Half mags neuter a lever gun.
