This is a rather nice .22 pump action rifle. Nice bore. They were made from the early '20s through the early '30s.

All machined steel.

But, the locking block is broken.

Looks as if finding a replacement is akin to searching for a needle in a haystack.

Nice little rifle for sure!! Is the fore-stock cracked at all? Of what I can see of the stock in the pictures.. wood looks in good shape.. I do have alot of old Marlin parts..but i'm pretty sure I dont have a locking block that will work for her. I will check for you..
I would also try "Marlinowners.com" Its an American site but they have access to alot of knowledge and parts etc...This part would have no trouble going through the boarder either. Hope this helps, and I will let you know if I have the part. Cheers

The forend is intact. The forend screws - all the screws - look as if there has never been a screwdriver in them. I would appreciate it if you had a look.
I'll try Marlinowners.com, see what I can learn. GPC actually had the part listed, but out of stock.

These vintage .22 pump action rifles are really interesting. Very popular in their day - all the manufacturers made them.
Only other one I have is a Winchester Model 61.

If you can't find a replacement part, I would be willing to take a run at Tig welding it for you; no charge. I'm an Engineer who still does a lot of die and mold work. This looks fairly straight forward.

Might have to TIG it....
Even if the had them...they don't like us right now. (Numwich)

First place I checked, saw that they were out of stock.
In the photo, the peg at the top is a spring loaded plunger; fixed peg on the other side. The pin pivots the lock to the bolt. The rectangular slot surrounds a lug on the firing pin. No doubt prevents the firing pin from moving when unlocked.
Meroh - thanks for the offer. I may have a go at making a piece, will let you know.
