anybody seen one ?.......anywhere ?........I used to have one many years ago but sold it and now would like another .......but I cant find one any where new or used .......I know they are still made
 
I didn't see them in the latest marlin catalogue.
They are around in the secondary (used) market.
Website says they are allocated.
Perhaps one of the fine importers would do well to bring in a lot or 2 of used units.
 
I am cursed like you too, i sold mine 15 years ago for only a few hundred dollars. Its a sin what they sell for these days.
I will wait for an old uneducated fellow has one they need to get rid of.
 
Apparently due to all Marlin's issues after buyout by Remington they have been reintroducing the line bit by bit. I have heard that the 39a will enter production again in 2016.

Good news, hopefully they can finish sorting out their s##t and consistently produce a quality rifle again by next year. Stuff's improving, but still the odd 'built on a Friday afternoon' Marlin out there it seems...
