It’s discontinued for mass production. So your options are the custom shop as you indicated or buying used. There are still some good examples out ther, including like new. Try gun broker and use one of the sponsors to import. That’s what I had to do.

Crazy how just 5 years ago you could get them for $500 On a good day. Now people are wanting $1000+, it's crazy. They're nice, but not that nice.

I have to agree with you. I bought mine 18 years ago and I love it, but it is not worth the stated custom price, unless it comes with XX grade walnut, hand engraving with gold inlay.

As much as I like my 39... I cannot phantom paying over$3,000US for one!
