Hi,

I have a Marlin Model 80 DL on the EE. Initially I had it up as a trade only rifle as I didn't know what to value it at as I took it as a trade as well. My google'ing got a lot of american pricing but not Canadian. Anyway tonight I threw the price $250 shipped. Am I out of wack or in the ballpark? thanks

I'd say if you want it to move $150 would be the price...

If you want to 'BTT' it for a few weeks and gradually lower your price start at $250...;)

No offence intended and this is just IMO.

Thanks fellas I will lower my price. I wasn't well researched when I picked it up and paid much more for it, but present value is the present value regardless of what I paid for it.

a brand new with 4 x scope in my town turn 180!!!

First, they stopped making the 80DL in the mid 1960's... so how you saw one brand new i don't know.
Regardless, It's the EE... its an "asking price". an 80DL in good condition is worth $150 in good condition. Ask for $195 shipped and you'll likely get someone offer you $150. Whats wrong with setting the asking price a little on the high side fishing for what you want to get for it?

so sorry, i tough m60! sorry!!!

As an update, I did lower the price to $150 plus shipping. Week 2 struck a deal with a member. There was a bit of interest in the rifle and several offers made. The offers did range from fairly sincere to completely offensive.

It was a nice rifle, just not the right one for me.

Thanks for the advice.
