Marlin Model 90

So I recently came across this shotgun and it greatly piqued my interest. They seem to be a solid shotgun from everything that I've been able to dig up on them. I've been not so seriously looking for an over under for a while, the biggest show stopper being having to give up my firstborn for a decent o/u. However I've seen the model 90's go for in the 300 ballpark.
I didn't see a whole lot here on the forum about these. Does anybody have one and recommend them? Is it worth my time trying to source one? Any serious pros or cons to them?

The model 90 was a well made gun and quite reliable. It is striker fired (No internal hammers to fuss with) and parts are still out there for them if needed. If you get a low mileage unit, you can always have a smith set it up for choke tubes if desired. Expect to pay around 300 for a decent one to 500 for a real tidy one.
 
They were a decent over/under in their day. It's typical for these to have a fair amount of bluing wear on the action. The metal the action is made of is such that it does not take bluing very easily if one thought about rebluing.

IIRC the metal used doesn't like hot bluing, turns it a plum colour or brownish, but cold bluing seemed to be ok?
