I tried a search on this rifle on the form already and it turn up with nothing. The search set up on this site is awful. Also notice someone posted something on the Marlin XT today. I want to know if the model chambered for .22WMR can also fire .22LR. It is a tube magazine and since tube magazine rifles can fire shorter cartridges of the same caliber I figured it could but it doesn't say on the Marlin web site if it can or not. If someone who owns this rifle can chime in on this, please let me know.

I was going to also asked if anyone likes or dislikes this firearm but since the other post is already about this then I won't ask.

Thanks for any help. I realize this rifle is new to the market but one thing I've noticed about it is it has the same bolt design as the mossberg 802 plinkster. Made by the same production plant in Brazil as the mossberg?

YOU CAN NOT SHOOT 22 LONG RIFLE OUT OF A 22 MAGNUM FIREARM. The other person posting on this rifle has the 22 mag version.

.22LR and .22WMR are NOT based on the same case, and use DIFFERENT bullet diameters!!!! Bad, bad idea to be shooting them in the wrong gun.

If it's not written on the barrel, it doesn't go in the gun.

I did not know the .22LR and the. 22WMR where different diameters. This is why we ask things beforehand. No need for bold capitals with exclamation marks. It makes it look like you're being a prick about it.

No one is trying to be a prick as you suggest. I'm the farthest thing from it.
Some of use just want to make sure the people who are new to the sport or don't know, understand it's a big mistake to do what you are suggesting. Capital letters indicated importance.
There were no "bold" letters used either.

Caps are just to emphasize the important warnings to make sure no one misreads and does anything stupid. If I want to be a prick, I'll make it much more obvious than putting important warnings in caps.
