Does anyone know if any of the posted trigger modifications for other actions of Marlin 22's will work on a Papoose?
Do they all use the same trigger mechanism?
Someone posted a thread a while ago about using a BIC pen spring to replace the factory spring with a resulting 2.5 lb pull.
That fix was for a bolt action Marlin 22.
Same fix for the Papoose semi automatic??

Trigger mechanism in the Marlin semis is totally different from their bolt rifles. The Papoose is a variation of the standard Marlin series of .22 semi auto rifles, which share the same trigger/sear arrangement. The sear is a stamping, don't know how the hammer is made. You would want to be very careful with any stoning or polishing. Very careful. Also, the trigger mechanism frame is held together with tiny C clips on the ends of the pivot pins. If you are considering taking it apart, put a pin through the mainspring strut to capture the spring, and be careful not to lose any pieces.

I'd like to know as well! The only modification I've made with my papoose is that I fire it with the middle of my finger and not the end....
