I got mine (.44Magnum) from Wholesale Sports in their liquidation. Not at all clunky, fired as rapidly as I could. But it had the common problem of the sights being incorrectly sited. (I.e. neither exactly on top of the barrel.) I sent it to Gravel Agency under warranty, took them a couple months to get new ones in and hand select a good replacement for me. To me it was worth the trouble and the wait because of the low purchase price.
