Marlin Stocks........?

Searching for stocks to fit Marlins.
Boyd's has a cross reference.
It crosses the Marlin 336 pistol grip over to
the Marlin 39A.
Is this true?
One can use a 336 stock set for a 39A rimfire?
I can feel a woodie coming on........aye?

I just held them up together, it looks to be true! The butstocks look identical, the forestocks look very close(barrel band vs cap) but look like they'd fit! Who woulda thought!

You can get the unfinished stock from boyds.....

Once taxed and shipped the unfinished stock can be imported to Canada. The Finished stock can not be shipped as the total costs exceeds 100$
Sure wouldn't want those Canadians packing around nice stocks, very dangerous.
But the real question is what is wrong with an repaired stock? lol

came across their cross reference page and saw this
comparison.
Just trying to learn something there Grasshopper......
