Wondering if anyone knows the model number & where in Canada (west coat preferred) that I could buy a Marlin lever action with these specifics...

Octagon barrel, 20 inch preferred in 44 calibre.

Seems most places carry the cowboy 1894 version with regular barrel...

Any help would be appreciated...

The 1894 "regular" has a magazine capacity of 9 rounds. They are specified as the 1894 (44 magnum) and the 1894C (357/38 sp).

The "cowboy" designation has the octagon barrel and is chambered in 44, 45 colt and 357/38. I own one in 357/38 and it is a sweet shooter indeed.

The main reason is that the CAS shooting stages typically require the rifles to fire 10 shots. Otherwise, your total time goes all to hell if you have to stop and reload one more round.

The 1895 CB is 45/70 and has a sweet 26" octagon barrel.
