Marlin XL7 .223

Not listed on Marlins site.

If they were to make them I'd grab one in a heartbeat. I love my xs7!

On another note they appear to have changed the named of the rifles. Long action seems to be the x7, short action is x7s.

Marlin doesn't make a 223 in the x7 line yet, the closest they make is 22-250 or 243.
If Epps lists it for sale, its either a typo or one thats been modified.
I have the Marlin xs7 in. 308 and love it.

I bought one from Epps in 223 three weeks ago. It was between that and Stevens 200, but they didnt have a Stevens in 223.

It shoots great. The stock is flimsy and mine was resting on the barrel on the left side so i had to open up the barrel channel a bit.

I worked up a reload and was shooting 0.6" 4 shot groups at 100 yrds and 1.1" 4 shot groups at 200 yards.

I just really hate the blind magazine on it....other than that its a great gun and i recommend it.

I stiffened up my marlin 795 plastic stock by filling it with non expanding rigid foam-great stuff. The stock now feels solid and doesn't have that ''hollow'' sound to it.Sounds like the X7 stock would be a good candidate for similar treatment
