Blind mags are "Non-emptying" meaning they are a cavity within the rifle for your rounds that have only one entry and exit point........ the top. You can't unload in a hurry like with a drop Magazine or drop out floor plate. If you have a full load of ammo in the gun, you have to chamber each round and eject them. Its a little messier occasionally if they fly away, but often times, not having the bottom of the gun open with another hole, stiffens the action somewhat and may contribute to greater accuracy. Kind of like a convertable car VS a hard top. The convertable looks better, but has more flex and slightly worse handling in the corners because it doesn't have the roof to keep the body more rigid.
