Hey all!

Upon reading more and more on my MVSR thats been tucked away in my safe and not fired in years, I decided to upgrade the glass. I was soo happy with the Hawke HD IR Rimfire on my 10/22 that I researched the new Hawke Vantage IR .22WMR Scope.

I took an 1.5hr drive to a dealer that sells Hawke to have a look. It was just as impressive as the other one I own. So it came home with me and I plan on getting to the range tomorrow.

The scope is 4x12x40, glass etched marked from 100 to 300 yards and illuminated with either green or red. As well the Parallax is adjustable from 10yards to infinity. The BRC reticle works on full 12 power based on 2000fps ammo.

I know the BRC .22LR scope worked perfect as it was etched out to 200yards. I sighted in at 50yards and hit the targets right out to 200 like it said it would! So I have the same expectations for this glass!!!

Well today I went out to the range to try er out. There was a left to right cross wind. I had a variety of ammo to try out. I found the Winchester 40g JHP 1910fps did the best. Once I got it as good as I could with at 100yrds, I took the shoots at the 150 & 200. However I wasn't impressed with my 150 & 200 yard targets at all. The scope with the BRC did it's job but groups as you will see sucked.

I love this rifle, but my Magnum Research Semi will out shoot it any day with Maxi Mags!!!
