Yeah, thats why I am asking. Saw the flyer and thought hmm,

Apparently their a copy of the Savage rifle in some respects. Though everything I've been reading say's their a better built rifle, complete with their own version of the Accu-trigger. I would be interested in taking a look at one myself. Let us know what you think of it.

picked up the XL7 in 30-06 today @ bass pro. just have it out of the box right now fondeling it. i do find it a little barrel heavy, nothing some expanding foam and some wieght won't fix. bolt slides well with good lock up, bolt is fluted and i'm surprised @ milling for gun in this price range. butt pad is nice and soft, trigger guard is plastic.(that sucks)
bolt shroud is metal, i thought it would be plastic like tikka's. trigger is nice and adjustable but you have too remove action to access the adjustment, there is a "jam nut" you have to loosen and then adjust a screw to increase or decrease trigger pull. i actually like the trigger just like it is, not to light and not to heavy, no creep that i can notice. gun came with two locks, cheap plastic (DAC) and cable lock that you need to remove bolt and slide through action. also came with 2 piece bases. composite stock isn't bad @ all. nicer then the stevens 200 stocks. all and all a nice gun for the money. don't think i'll bee shooting it for a bit. wife is mad that i bought a new gun, i didn't tell her i need a scope for it yet. i think i'll wait a few weeks for that!

buy the way, when i bought it this morning they still had 7 in stock. that is if you're still thinking about it.

Read my mind I was going to ask ya if they had any left. Thanks.

I am up there in 2 weeks I'll have to check when the sale ends.

sale ends on nov 26th, i'm sure if you call they would put one on hold for you. i know while i was @ the counter a few guys came over and looked @ it while i was deciding if i should get it. if you do call they might not answer the first time you call, they're retarded today. the salesman told me they didn't think they would be busy today because of the deer season! while i was doing the paperwork i think they were 25 numbers behind! but they were doing there best to catch up. if i had my camera with me i'd post some pictures for you.

they;re good rifles. Apparently in 2009 they will sell for closer to $400-500

i was looking @ U.S. prices for this gun and it's on sale @ bass pro in U.S. for 280$. and about 350$ U.S. + or - a few bucks most other places. i just figured for 300$ i couldn't go wrong. especially a gun that i'm just screw around with. we'll see how it shoots when i talk the wife into letting me buy a scope.

We got quite a few in stock in .270 and .30/06. They seem like a great rifle for the price. The hunting mag reviews are quite positive. It will be interesting to see what members think of them once they are out there and using them a bit. If you can get them for $299, its a great price. We have them for $349 and there's not much in it for us! :(

Shhhhhh! i woke up this morning and droped off my daughter @ the in-laws and off i went on the 1 hr drive to lebaron in ottawa and came back home with new rings and a bushnell 3200 in 3-10x40!!!!:D wanted the 3-9x50 but the only one they had in that configuration had the firefly rec. which i didn't want. mounted the scope this afternoon and hoping to get out and shoot the XL7 by the weekend. Oh, and i have to try to hide it from the wife.

Please let us know how it shoots. We've got a lot in stock and have sold quite a few. We've been very impressed with the trigger and the feel of the rifle but haven't heard back on how they shoot.

Just went to Marlin's website....not impressed! It did not say what calibers were available nor whether it has a hinged floor plate, blind or detachable mag. Any extra info would be nice, thanks guys.
