marstar 70,000/10,000 SKS, eta aug 20th, price $189 new military.

i guess you're right, but for me... 1 sks is plenty :) i hope a lot of those rifles get sold to new shooters ! that would be great :)

If AK47s weren't prohib, sks-d rifles wouldn't be worth more than a regular norc sks.

you would be wrong cos it cost money to convert a reg SKS to a "D" , given a choice to buy either one at the same price , i bet more members will go for a "D" then reg.

claven: the quality of a "D" varies , depends on the quality of the rifles they are converting, early chinese rifle are better and the late production was not as well built .

i have 3 "D" and the quality is average, my 3 are all pinned barrel and stamp TG, ofcos all "D" has a milled receiver.

How much would that cost the chinese?

given a choice to buy either one at the same price , i bet more members will go for a "D" then reg.
Given the choice of a SKSD or a slightly more expensive AK47, I bet more members would chose the AK47. Making the SKSD less desirable, lowering prices like I said. Maybe not Norc SKS prices, but closer at least.

John:

For the used lot. Is the price going to be stratified to reflect quality of the particular rifle?
Or is it going to be a first come, first dibs on the goods?

How much would that cost the chinese?

what ever the cost for our size market , it aint gonna be negligible so it wont sold at the same price cos if the cost of conversion is negligible then i would bet one of the dealer would have ordered them in by now .

well , you should go to the SKS BASIC sticky and check out what needs to be done for a conversion , its alot of work and then maybe you could estimate how much its gonna cost the chinese .
