marstar 70,000/10,000 SKS, eta aug 20th, price $189 new military.

Do I have to be the one to call John on this lie? 70 000 rifles? Give me a break, with aprox 1500 rifles per container, you are looking at the better part of a full train of guns. I understand that you have a dozen or two staff which would be 1700-3000 guns per employee to register pack and ship.

Also, if you were realy bringing in 70 000 surplus military rifles into Canada would you realy go on a public fourm to anounce it ware Gun hating trolls would read it and it would be all over the left wing media?

By most accounts there have been less then 10 000 SKS rifles brought into Canada this year and saturated the market, how the hell can you dump another 70 000 guns? The truth is, there are not nearly that many coming in.

I don't believe that all the guns will come to Canada. I know that the SKS is a pretty hot item in the US aswell, so I would have to guess that alot of them would go there. I just hope if it is TRUE that we would get the good batch:D..I'll take 10

I guess it depends on what the country of manufacture of is since there are a lot of countries that the US that they won't import firearms from anymore. Both the country of manufacture and the country that they are sent from would have an influence on wether they can be sent to the US.

You to can equip a section of infantry, give them a M305 for the designated marksman. Hell for a couple of grand you be able to raise a platoon. Just like the good old days when we raised our own Regiments. How about: "The Queen's own Loyal Gunnutz Light Rifles"?

I will gladly join up and fight with the "TQOLGLR" any day of the week.

Too many tiny countries in Africa..... Where would you find 70,000 Rifles at the local market

The Russians undoubtedly made weapon caches around SW Africa during the South African Border War. If you were the USSR with a bunch of SKS's lying around, wouldn't you want to bring a bunch to prop up a Communist government and its "army"? Hell, if they will bring Mig's and Hind's, 70,000 SKS's or a train full of them isn't really a stretch.

Good start Noob. It was clearly stated that not all were coming to Canada, in fact no number was given.

I'll let someone else tear you a new one (although I bet it's been torn a few times already so it might not hurt so much this time).

Way to not read the thread. He's already stated that not all 70,000 SKS rifles are coming to Canada.

Also, dealers regularly announce incoming shipments here...it's called networking, aka advertising. The media hasn't picked up any of those announcements and run with them the way you're proposing, they probably wont now...

Boys please,..if you can't play nice take your buckets and shovels home 'eh...
Now...could these rifles be from one host country,or say a nice mix of countries that we have not seen here as of yet??

Hmm, so a recently liberated part of the world thats tropical... I was thinking of Kosovo until I read about the tropical bit... My best guess would either be somewhere on the African continent or somewhere in south Asia, who knows. Regardless though, there are 70 freaking thousand of them, and if they are all from the same place, this would have made a headline somewhere, unless the 'big' source of John's SKS's is the newly liberated tropical place, and he got a few thousand from some other places...

I hope none of the guns are rusted or pitted do to tropical humidity.
