The TV at our place is a little nicer (LCD) but it sure isn't big or fancy. We don't have cable either. Sounds like the priorities are set up properly in both your house and my house
Priorities aside, the little one still gets the DVD player and the XBox to hook up to the modestly sized TV. I'll cut back on luxuries for me to afford guns, but I'd have a hard time denying her something she really enjoys to buy things that I want but don't truly need.
Ammo is another story though...
