This July I wanted to get a Norinco M14S. But one big problem Marstar is not selling them anymore. So where can I get them I don't want to spend 1400$ on a M1A when I can get a Norinco for 400$.

Check the EE (Equipment Exchange), At Least 5 come up every week. If you have not already, ask for access to the EE. You do this on your control panel under "group memberships" on the left.

Accuracy Plus has almost 12 in stock. $499. Sorry, that is an M305. Canadian Tire is getting in 12 of the M14S.
tel. 403-278-3800 (Macleod and southland location, Ontario). Last report was last week. You may have to wait until May!

Im gonna say yes?...

Well... mine is stamped "M14" with an "S" as an after thought, but it sure isn't "automatic", as per the norc M14S web description. Falls more under the M305 which mentions "semi-auto", and "308" which my norc is stamped with.

So you tell me?

I'm just guessing out loud, but I think the M14S was originally intended for the international market where autos were allowed. Since today there is little point importing prohibs into Canada or Western Europe, and the US has an embargo on these Chinese Norc's entirely, there is not a lot of western market left. So the auto variant is pretty well a dead issue.

The M14S is selling like hotcakes though, so they may well have decided to stamp them S anyway to maintain the familiar M14 name. Basic marketing 101 to me...

Even Marstar can't decide what they are!

I don't know if Marstar is getting more but I read somewhere that there was another batch coming in June, I just don't remember where I read it.

Marstar said back in Nov. that the last shipment was the last shipment ever coming in from China to Canada of the Norc m14s/m305

china made thousands and thousands for other countries armies....... me thinks maybe some of those are making it to canada.
Just cause more might be coming , and they might be stamped norinco..... doesn't mean they are new from china..... they could be from any country with open doors for export to canada.
I've also heard the rumour that they will all be 18.5" and all have fiberglass china made stocks on them...... the rumour mill is churnin :D
