As for you projected delivery date, well that is interesting, they do not have the molds made.... They have not set up the machinery....
Hell they have NOT even turned on the lights at the factory....

I have also heard much the same from my sources, but now with the T97 and VZ fiasco's and the police associations obvious threat to the reclassification of many of our "sporting" semis ..... I'm guessin it would be financial suicide to sign any contracts for any semi auto military rifle clone turned sporting/hunting rifle, at any point in the near future.

I'd be hangin on to the ones i've got....... and snappin em up wherever you can find one for 500 ish if you are just getting the itch to buy one now.
 
Ditto, I should have bought 3 when they were available. A few of my local crew are kicking themselves now for missing them.

Well for a company that "does not have anything" in stock....
I would like to know what happened to all that money that was supposed to be in inventory ??

BTW, I would gladly pay you a very handsome salary or consulting fee if you can come up with an absolutely foolproof order/delivery method that would insure "on time" delivery of all our off shore orders.

You know the type of system that would force manufacturers to finish orders on time.

The type of system that would scare the hell out the various foreign government bureaucrats so they would issue in a timely manner the export permits, the transit permits, port loading permits, etc, etc....

The type of system that would force carriers to follow schedules and not "bump" cargo, they would no longer be able to tranship or divert....

The kind of system that would cause such fear and concern with Canada Customs officials that they would no longer delay, detain or hold for inspection our numerous containers that pass through Halifax, Montreal and Vancouver every year....

While on the subject of Canada Customs don't forget that the "magic" system should cover our almost weekly shipments arriving in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa,Montreal. They should not be allowed to detain or inspect and if the insist doing their job, your system should limit the time they make take.

I am certain that once your system is in place the "out of stock" or "sold out" notices on our site will all but vanish.

Johnone, I know by now you must have thick skin, but trust me there is a ton of people who are glad you are there, doing what you do. These type of simple minded comments do not reflect how the majority appreciate Marstar, and all they have done for the Cdn firearms community.

our frustration stems from the fact that we want to buy buy buy and buy some more. This should really be a positive thing and good news for John. We all realize how tough it is to import firearms to Canada. If I was a store owner and there was a long lineup of customers who want to spend their money and getting frustrated because they are not able to because my stock sells like hot buns, I would very pleased.
John, don't take this personally and don't get mad at people who want to hand over their money to you. The suspense is tiring and frustrating but once you inform people of new products, we will all be a very happy bunch.

The absurd part of this is that if Norinco et al just played games to compel a larger order, they probably killed any chance of them coming in quantity. I'm trying to imagine another company in Canada who'd commit to that number.

Just curious John, but would it be unfair to ask how many Norinco M-14s you've imported to date??
 
I think we can close the issue of M14 and marstar. John sent me this email today:
"AS STATED MANY TIMES, the container in Dec 2008 was the LAST ONE, they are permanently sold out"

But I am puzzled by the comment "sold out until further notice" on Marstar website that either was there always and I never noticed, or was added recently and I only noticed now. :jerkit:
