Sorry, but unless you are a movie company, or a police services board with a sense of style, the Marstar Thompsons are not for sale to you.

If he has the need 12.? on his PAL I see no reason why they would not see to him.

No new 12(X) prohibs can enter the system for private ownership. If the firearm was not in the system at the time of implementation, it cannot be put into the system. The number of privately held 12(X) firearms was fixed, and is currently declining as they are deactivated or surrendered because of difficulties transferring them.

Boy that sure wasent planned by the gun grabbers or anything  .

Interesting thing is, once the guns are sold to a movie company, they enter the system and can then be transferred to 12(x) holders. Of course, that would immediately start black X treatment of said company by the CFC, and possibly revokation of their license... etc. Also, I know for a FACT John would stop selling to said company to avoid liability...

I think I am going to have to start a movie company dedicated to doing short films pertaining to the proper use, repair & cleaning of historicaly significant fully automatic firearms in historical perspective. The script would consist of pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa,pa, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee.

Well that would depend on how many movies you could sell to cover your costs & generate a profit. To perpetuate the the whole deal, you could offer to let your potential "audience" assist in the production of future block busters when they buy a movie. Ok folks, did ya bring your ammo (generous donation of consumables to assist production)? Did you buy your movie? Ok then step on up to the mg42 & prepare to be a star.

I had the endorsements on the business licence to supply goods for movie production. Didn't get the endorsement for FAs because of the cost. If you want to see what the paperwork looks like, just get a business licence application package.

So what would getting licensed to be a gun-movie prop house cost?

"Uh... yeah... I'm going to be releasing some new You-tube internet movies soon, and they really need a full auto soundtrack"

Start shopping for a walk-in bank vault before going too far. Gun-movie prop house has pretty strict storage guidelines. I would imagine the insurance cost may be a killer too.

According to the CFC once a 12X/prohib gun is registered to a business, it can only be transferred to another business. I just spoke to the CFO on this very subject.

I wouldn't get all hot and heavy thinking you will be able to get a business license to buy FA's for the movie industry.

As others have mentioned, storage and insurance requirements probably would exceed those of a normal firearms business. Like a regular firearms business, they would probably investigate you, your associates, and your family pretty thoroughly. And finally, you would probably have to demonstrate some reasonable expectation of actually running a business of supplying such firearms to the entertainment industry.

So how many movie producers do you know that are willing to hand you a contract?

When I held my business licence, I had endorsements to sell on consignment, and gunsmith ALL classes of firearms. I had a secure building, a 24 hr professionally monitored alarm system, and a safe. Standard business setup for restricted/prohibited.
