Marstar, would you consider bringing in Norinco 97 bullpups?

Would you buy this bullpup from Marstar?

I want to see the offical precision spec of the type 88....it is used as a DMR to replace the Chinese Dragunov. So their "accuracy" demand maybe a a far cry from our definition of accuracy. I think it is probably a 1.5MOA rifle....and only idiots will clamp a bipod on the barrrel of a precision rig.

You are right. It is stupid to do that.

And accuracy demand of this "sniper rifle" is terrible. It is said to be around 3 MOA, by the Chinese army. Hard to believe, but it is true. The cause is not the barrel. It is mainly the low-quality ammunition.

Ah, but ammunition problems we can fix here in Canada.

Well, that's 300 potential orders. Marstar or Lever? Give us a good price and a warranty. It is safe to say they aren't going to move fast at $1500, but at sub $800, we are lining up to buy them. Heads up.

Do you really need accuracy when you have a million troops? :D

unfortunately, the 80's was probably the last time this statement was true.

PLA has about 300K trained troops- the rest is tier 2 units that they want to get rid of over the years. I think South Korea has more trained troops than CHina actually. THe PLA is not stupid, they have an idea where they need to be but it is just a matter of how to get there fast enough before they got quantum leaped by the US. The submarine and anti-satellite incidents are good indications how they will concentrate on certain strong points to have a chance to inflict heavy prices on the US if they even go to war over Taiwan.

OK FELLAS;
While we appreciate your support and confidence it is somewhat early for us to discuss this matter further....

Suffice to say that we are looking at it seriously, IF we do anything with it you can expect our usual warranty policy as well as our lower prices....

I won't buy the type 88, but a type 97 with a 18.5" is good.

Instead of getting the type 88, the type 03 with the folding stock is actually a friendlier rifle -at least scope mouninting is easier.

I am pretty sure those are bullet resistant masks. Probably for pistol rounds.

I didn't know there was such a thing. However:

w ww.mydiscountstation.com/ballistic-protection/face-mask-for-all/bullet-proof-face-mask-level-2/prod_596.html

This Bullet Proof / Resistant Face Mask has satisfied the requirements for N.I.J. Standard 0108.01 Threat level II. This is a Face mask that protects against .357 mag 158gr JSP at a velocity of 1400 +/- 50 fps. It also protects from a number of other ballistic threats such as .22 .25 .32 .380 .38 .41 .44 .45 9mm 10mm. This mask Retails from $385 - $500. $385 if you know where to look. $500 if you don't. That is if you can find it.

After realizing that I already have better DM rifles, I'd have to agree with Greentips "type 97 with a 18.5" is good". I'd go for that as well.

The "sniper" Type 88 internals don't look as good as the Type 97, the barrel isn't free floated, and I'm pretty suspect about it's accuracy. I'd rather have the Type 97 for plinking. Lets face it, I doubt this is an accurate firearm. However something that throws cheap ammo down range can also be fun. That's pretty much what I'd buy one for.

Yes that's ture, My opinion of type 88 is a 5.56 bullpup SVD, I didnt find the offical precision spec yet, but for sure it should more accurate than type 97. I hope it's a good toy for coyote hunting

2 type 88 and 2 type 97 if non restricted

for my dude and me
