Johnone asked about purchasing a non-restricted M-97 so that would have to be >18.5" barrel. I'm ready to be corrected, but I'm pretty sure we determined that the "sniper" version shown earlier in this thread is a actually an M-88 not an M-97 and it shoots weird Chinese ammo. I too would like the flatop version, but I think the M-97 only comes in the fugly integrated carry handle model. I still want one.

He doesn't have to take jabs at Lever's business. Lever Arms does it all themselves with ridiculous policies (photocoying your DL when you buy ammo)and WAY TOO HIGH Prices and not servicing what they sell.

Oh, this is going to be good. The gauntlet has been thrown down - I think Marstar has always been up for a challenge and here it is...though it's interesting that the naysayers still won't offer any facts to go with their assertion that none of these will ever hit the shores.
Too bad we can't hear why importing anymore of these guns would require an effort so great as to be near impossible - it would make for an interesting discussion.
Oh well, whether it's for the Tavor, the Masada, the M-97, the XCR or even for stamped metal AR-180b's - it appears as though the Canadian firearms community is destined to sit around waiting for non-restricted black rifles.

I don't think I know you, maybe I don't want to.... But what seems to be the problem here ?
In the past few years;
When we brought up the subject of the VZ-58s we were told no, they will never pass, never get approved etc, etc....
When we said we would buy up all the M-305s AND keep the prices level, they said we could not....
When we bought up hundreds of thousands of Yugoslav rifles, we were told we would never sell them, we did around the world....
When we said we would offer low priced Czech 7.62x39, we were told it would never happen, we have sold millions, with millions of rds more coming....
Many years ago when we applied for the licenses we now hold to supply the US market with "kits".... It would never happen said the observers.... We have sold over 100,000 kits on the American market....
Perhaps you could indicate to me when we have NOT kept our word to our customers ??
I love making wagers, I guess that's from being in this business for so long.... Would you consider the following:
If I can't prove the avilability of said rifles for delivery to Canada I owe you $10,000.oo
On the other hand If I can prove it then you owe me $10k and a posted apology here on CGN....
