Well it looks like the new shotgun I have been long awaiting might be close at hand:dancingbanana:. I have really wanted a Fabarm Martial Pro Forces and have handled one in the store. It felt good when I tried it at the store but my concern is that when I get out and actually shoot this gun it might be on the small side. I am a big guy: 6', 300lbs football lineman build and was just wondering what you Nutz thought about the Martial and my body type?

Also on a different note, besides Nine's aluminum tape, what are some solutions for the dreaded scratched receiver problem?

aluminum tape. Pimptastic protection. There is also the option of a short forend.

The pistol gripped full stock of the pro forces model will keep your ham sized fist out of your face. Important due to it's short LOP.

Can the stock forend be modified in any way to stop the scratching? Like sanding the inside of the forend down? Or cutting the forend in some fashion?

The LOP is my real concern with this gun, how will I know if it is too short?

My friend whos 6'6 270 shot my Martial Pro Forces and loved it. He did 5 buckshot and then a few slugs, and when we went into 30 yards he hit the 10 ring on a figure target on his first shot. He enjoyed it.

His stance was little leaning back, but he still handled it well and said he really liked it.

The "scratch" marks on the receiver aren't that bad. I've got several hundred rounds through mine and there are just very faint rub marks. You have to look to find them. Not a big deal.

I don't think you'll have a problem with the size. It's not like it needs to fit like a trap gun, IMO.

The Pro Forces stock has a very short LOP. If you order the Tactical gun you will have about 1.5" more LOP, but no pistol grip. There are also stock spacers available to add 10mm LOP per spacer. And one other option is to buy the S&J spacer and use a Knoxx stock on the gun.

I want the Pro Forces model for the pistol grip and I am not a fan of the Knoxx stocks. I was not aware of the spacers, that sounds like it might be the ticket. I also want to add a S&J single point sing mount so that would add a little LOP as well.
