this is my latest project, Ron Smith stainless barrel
on a greener police martini action which i call my
black and white. i just put it all together an hour ago
and i'm of to the range. i used hi see through mounts
so no problems with loading and ejecting. barrel is 21inches. i made a trigger jig for these martini and it works
like a hot dam. more later

Looks sharp! Why 44 mag in particular?

I've always been partial to the martini action and used to shoot one in 45-70 quite a bit. Personally always wanted one in a K-Hornet or another BP cartridge myself.

I'd say you should let us know how it shoots but it would be shocking if it's not excellent. :)

thanks for the kind words. why 44 mag??? mainly ecomics.
brass, bullets(especialy cast), are half of rifle. u use way less powder. a 240 gr bullet going 1800 fpm will kill
anything around here, out to 125 yds. yes the martini,
its a winner. now to find a load for jacketed and cast.

A lovely piece of work! I have a .303 carbine "still in progress" (sigh) whose shot-out barrel has been replaced with an SMLE one. Your post reminded me of the .310 Cadet sulking in my gun cabinet that I have been meaning to send off to Ron S, to be rebored to .357 mag. Thanks for the reminder!

:) Stuart
