Martini Henry 577/450

How far into the chamber? A hunk of dowel and sandpaper should do it. You'll still have a wee 'divet' in the chamber though.

its about 1 1/4" inside the chamber, and its leaving a dent in the cases when fired. Fireformed cases get caught on the burr and are hard to chamber.

What if I make a partial D reamer and just shave off the burr ??

Why not try a tapered dowel with abrasive paper first? If the burr is small, it will save you 2 or 3 hours making the D bit. With a bit of luck it will not take a lot of sanding/abraiding.
With either reamer or abrasive run a steel rod with bushings down the barrel from the muzzle and screw the reamer/dowel on from the breach; saves removing the barrel from the action.

This might be a bit "out there", but I wonder if you could fill the dent with a steel epoxy (and then polish the chamber)? Given that the .577-450 is a low-pressure round you might get away with it.

I have a little problem with the chamber, it has a burr in it :(

any way to remove it easily

Remove the barrel from the action and inspect the chamber with a strong light. The burr may be a bit of unknown substance glued to the chamber wall by ancient cosmoline. Clean the chamber with a 20 gauge bronze brush and a good powder solvent.
I have had two rifles with "burrs that turned out to be slivers of brass that were stuck to the chamber wall and the previous owner did not clean properly. The brass slivers came out with a bronze brush in the chamber but would cause factory ammo to be very stickly on extraction.

well while watching the hockey game yesterday (YAAAA CANADA) I worked on the burr with a little bit of fine sand paper, taped to a bit of dowel. Its a huge pain to get my fingers in there, and I'm not set up to take the barrel off.

I'm about 90% done now there still is a little burr that marks up the brass but not anywhere as bad as before. I think I'll take it out shooting again and see how it works now.
