Martini Henry

Would anyone have a lead on parts, specifically the striker for a Miv?
Thanks Irish

I ordered one from IMA and it didn't fit. Ended up getting one built at a local machine shop and building that wedge shaped hole myself with a drill press and set of die maker files.
Not all parts are 'plug and play ' on these old guns.

Hello there, they don't have a striker right now, but the webstore for the Martini-Henry Society has a spare parts (new and original) section. I've bought one or two parts before. Maybe keep an eye there.

If you don't have a buddy with some metal working equipment take it to a machine shop. It should be pretty easy to machine down the broken tip and create a new one.
Even reproducing the entire striker should be quite straightforward.

I ended up using small diameter drill stock for the actual 'Firing' part of the pin IIRC. A touch long yet, but MH are a pain to take down IMO. So til I get time, I have to 'help' the firing pin by applying pressure to the cocking indicator as I lower the lever.
But mine is a 12 gauge, so I'm not seeing CF Rifle pressures either.
Truth, didn't buy it to shoot much...just bought it 'cause it's cool.
